Okavango River Basin

Okavango River Basin

The water of the Okavango Delta begins in the highlands of Angola. It flows down channels and rivers and seeps through peatlands along the Angola-Namibia border and into northern Botswana, where it fans out into one of the world’s most iconic and distinctive inland deltas. Surveying and protecting the Okavango Watershed is the goal of National Geographic’s Okavango Wilderness Project. In this collection, explore articles, infographics, and other resources that bring the delta to life.
